Parenting and Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is highly heritable
If you have ND traits, the chances are strong that (one of) your parents do as well. If you are a parent to a child or young person with ADHD and co-occuring conditions, you may recognise some of their traits in yourself or your partner.
Neurodiversity is a family affair.
Neurodivergent parenting can be an explosive, puzzling experience; it can also be joyful, creative and rewarding. Structure, insight and support are crucial. When working with parents, I provide psychoeducation and coaching for co-creation of strategies that help families thrive.
